Hmm, hmm . . . I think the gesture in this is very captivating as well as the chosen 'surface', stone/earth. About the title and description, though: maybe you had something more in mind? The title and description are both very heartwrenching, and the image that is here puts me in that same mourning position as the subject. However, I see only a hint of 'mother earth' actually being communicated, a reference almost reached since all I see is a girl who is mourning and made of earth. Many questions about the tree, too.
